Support Camp Joy – Help Restore Lives

Every life has the potential for a new beginning.

Camp Joy Restoration Centre, established in 2012, provides hope and healing for individuals affected by substance abuse, gang involvement, and other high-risk lifestyles across the Cape Flats. As a programme of the Family and Community Restoration Centre (FCRC), Camp Joy offers a safe environment where participants can rebuild their lives, restore relationships, and develop the skills needed to become productive members of society.

Many of our participants are referred through our CeaseFire Violence Prevention Programme, where they have already taken the courageous first step towards leaving violence behind.

A Place for Restoration

Camp Joy offers a comprehensive six-week residential programme, followed by an ongoing live-work programme for participants who have successfully completed rehabilitation but have no suitable accommodation to return to.

Our holistic approach includes:

  • Individual counselling and mentoring
  • Group therapy and personal development
  • Life skills and job readiness training
  • Behaviour change programmes
  • Gardening and environmental projects
  • Building maintenance and practical work experience
  • Physical fitness and wellness activities

Although Camp Joy is founded on Christian values, our doors are open to everyone, regardless of their religion, culture, or background.
