Camp Joy:
Restoring Lives, Rebuilding Communities
Substance abuse is a growing challenge in many communities. Camp Joy provides a compassionate, evidence-based response focused on rehabilitation, restoration, and successful reintegration. Our programs promote healthy living and improved quality of life, helping individuals and families break the cycle of addiction, violence, and gangsterism.
CeaseFire: Let's change the ending!
A public-health approach to community safety
CeaseFire treats violence like a preventable health problem. By applying proven disease-prevention methods, we interrupt the cycle of violence, change the choices of people most likely to cause harm, and shift group norms that support violence.
FCRC Blogs:
From time to time, the FCRC publishes blogs to share ideas, updates, and reflections on the issues that matter most to our community.
We write about the concerns of the day and the things that affect the Resource Centre, with the aim of keeping people informed, involved, and connected.

THE FCRC
The organisation is supported through funds, donations, and equipment contributed by partner organisations and independent donors. These resources enable us to continue serving the Hanover Park community with purpose and commitment. Our work is centred on addressing social challenges and bridging the skills gap that affects many communities. We place particular emphasis on empowering young people with the knowledge and support they need to make positive life choices and build sustainable futures.
The Centre operates from its own purpose-built complex, which includes six offices, a reception area, a computer room, a boardroom, a small hall, and a fully equipped kitchen. The facility was generously sponsored by the Pentecostal Protestant Church. As a faith-based organisation, we are committed to serving people of all ages, backgrounds, religions, and races with dignity, respect, and care.
MISSION
Our mission is to restore hope by providing community-centred programmes that prevent violence, combat substance abuse, develop life and vocational skills, strengthen families, and create pathways to sustainable social and economic development.
VISION
Our vision is to be more than a response to community challenges. We aim to serve as a catalyst for lasting change by encouraging individuals to grow, develop, and uplift themselves and their communities.
We envision a thriving Hanover Park where individuals and families are empowered to overcome adversity, communities are free from violence, and young people have access to opportunities that enable them to realise their full potential.
